Built in the 1950's by my Grandfather
(Pop), this camp in Grand Isle, LA
was the original Schaff's Shack,
the name given to it by my Pop, as
most of the camps on the
island
had names. It has a glorious
history, surviving many
hurricanes
over the years including Betsy. Although
the camp is no
longer in the family, the
"Schaff's Shack" sign now
hangs
proudly on the tailgating RV.
